Corporate Finance Center (CFC) was established in June 2006 at the State University – Higher School of Economics (HSE), Moscow, Russia. CFC is committed to promote high quality research on the application of financial theory and techniques to real world corporate financial policies, corporate performance and corporate governance studies. CFC aims to develop new knowledge in emerging markets and to provide a forum for discussing empirical corporate finance results.
On November 5-6, the 15th EIASM Conference on “Corporate Governance” took place in Brussels. Representatives of more than 15 countries came to the capital of Belgium to present their research projects and discuss new trends in the field of corporate finance.
The 1,000th working paper, which came out this November, discusses how innovative companies in the U.S. fund projects. Its authors are Anastasia Stepanova and Maria Kokoreva, research fellows at the HSE Corporate Finance Center, and Kirill Povkh, first-year Master’s student in the Corporate Finance programme.

Corporate Finance Center members Irina Ivashkovskaya and Irina Skvortsova will present their paper "Corporate diversification and value creation potential in times of prosperity and recession" at the XVIII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development, that will be held in Moscow on April 11-14th, 2017.
